Between our obsession with Harry Potter, the proliferation of mega bookstores, and the success of Oprah Winfrey’s book club it may come as a surprise that reading books is on the decline in the U.S. A report released Thursday by the National Endowment for the Arts says the number of non-reading adults increased by more than 17 million between 1992 and 2002!!
