3/17 - Now THAT'S Entertainment: "Spring Break Shark Attack" Sunday on CBS
YES! At last a tv movie that gets it right. Off of Florida an artificial reef is constructed which inadvertently attracts hundreds of sharks, eating college students at spring break! Get yer popcorn ready.

Finally checked this lousy show out on my Tivo. It gives a whole new meaning to schtoopid. There were no sharks, just submerged guys with shark fin hats (like the kid in the original Jaws movie) swimming back and forth as the hot bodies screamed and bags of red dye were released. Like a bad student film.
The best thing about the movie was that on the Sunday L.A. evening news, before it, they ran a story about a recent shark attack that took place ... somewhere a few weeks ago on the other side of the planet. Which caused innocent and trusting young Ty Carlisle (who runs all things SB in the office) to have an awakening, at age 23, that sometimes the evening news is not telling you all the news thats fit to broadcast, but rather all the news that supports that evenings crummy shows. And as a result, a tiny light of skepticism went on in Ty's head and he will never again be as trusting of the media. Which is at once both sad and yet, in a cosmic sense, beautiful.
